The last decade has been transformational for the European Tech ecosystem - while the developments are vast and progress has been good, the mood in 2024 has been flat. It has been year of political and regulatory turmoil with concerns over the EU’s AI Act, the challenges identified by Mario Draghi’s report and Europe’s ability to support breakthrough companies to commercialisation. It’s easy to lose sight of the whole picture.

We’re excited to welcome Shamal Thakar who is a Director of the Growth & Acceleration team at Atomico to provide an overview of their annual State of European Tech report, which is a definitive take on Europe’s tech ecosystem. This year’s 10th anniversary edition is a data-driven analysis of the trends, challenges, and opportunities shaping European tech over the past decade.

He will be joined by a panel of key industry leaders to further discuss the findings and look forward into 2025, including:
