Description This presentation details the real-world journey of building a sustainable accessibility program by shifting from a reactive "fix-it" mode to a proactive culture where accessibility is integrated from the start. We will share the practical strategies and key lessons learned, from building a compelling business case to implementing a two-pronged strategy for managing existing debt while building for the future.

We'll also introduce the concept of an accessibility maturity model as a tool for charting your course. Attendees will leave with a blueprint of actionable steps for creating lasting impact in their own organizations.

Presenter bio Lina Trifon (she/they) is the Senior Product Manager of Accessibility at Ellevation Education. Lina is passionate about creating inclusive and equitable experiences for all users. In her role, Lina develops and executes an accessibility strategy that builds a proactive, inclusive culture across the organization.

Lina's work ranges from conducting audits and prioritizing what needs to be fixed, to training teams and building new workflows that make accessibility a natural part of how the research and development team operates.
