The goal of our next meetup is for our attendees to become acquainted with R and R Studio in order to start their data analytics journey.

We'll cover:

• Brief intro to R as a programming language
• Functions, data structures, data types
• Reading data into R
• Basic data visualization in R
• R packages
• Examples and use cases

If time allows we will briefly introduce to you Rmarkdown and give a glimpse into how to make your analysis more reproducible.

We recommend you bring your own laptop where you have R and RStudio installed (https://cran.r-project.org/ and https://www.rstudio.com/products/rstudio/download/). In case you want to install Rmarkdown you can follow the instructions at https://bookdown.org/yihui/rmarkdown/installation.html
