This is our annual WWDC Lightning Talks special Meetup ⚡️. Instead of the usual 2 talks, there will be 8 short presentations covering various WWDC topics.

• What's New in Swift 6 by Stéphane Copin Swift 6 comes with major improvements to its concurrency model, exciting language additions and new default features that I will briefly present alongside the updated tooling in Xcode 16 that will allow you to start your migration.
• What's New in RealityKit by John Forester A look at new APIs in RealityKit and new features in Reality Composer Pro.
• Quick SwiftUI Tips To Delight Users by Prithiv Dev Devendran This talk delves into MeshGradient and TextRenderer, this new structure and protocol respectively lets iOS engineers delight their users with beautiful UI/UX.
• Indoor Location - Navigating a Sea of Unknown by Greg Sadetsky Typical mapping apps don't do well indoors - can we use existing signals to help users navigate malls, airports, offices..?
• Exploring Swift Performance by Sean Zhang Discover how Swift balances abstraction and performance. Learn what elements of performance to consider and how the Swift optimizer affects them. Explore the different features of Swift and how they're implemented to further understand the tradeoffs available that can impact performance.
• Exploring Navigation Transitions in iOS 18 by Kris Arnold iOS 18 Introduces a new hero transition for use when navigating between screens. Let's take a closer look: we'll see to use the transition and how to customize it.
• Thinking About the Quality of Design by Akhil Pothana Talking about some learnings and ideas around design and how that related to product design for mobile apps.
