We plan to live-stream the meetup for those that can't make it in person tonight. We'll start around 6:05pm Eastern Time. Here's the live-stream link: https://charming-data.circle.so/c/events/ai-python-for-a-kinder-new-york-city-in-person-28a6c7-852617-148b18-f6d031-8f0ec3-f3e8f2-4ed572-0cd38b
Our in-person meetup will start with two presentations in AI and then there will be a networking opportunity to allow you to meet others, discuss projects and learn from their experience.
The first presentation is a beginner-friendly session on the basics of OpenAI’s API, where Steven will walk through key concepts and also touch on more advanced topics like when to use LangChain versus LLM APIs directly, as well as understanding chat completions and system prompts.
The second presentation will explore how to replicate human-like long-term and short-term memory in AI chatbots using multi-agent systems and GraphRAG, enabling more personal and meaningful conversations. The speaker will discuss how these techniques simulate human memory processes and the challenges of implementing them in real-world AI applications.
All of our monthly New York City meetups aim to connect, share resources and ideas, and discuss AI and Python projects that can make a positive impact in the world, but especially in New York City.
Continued discussions outside of the meetup framework is highly encouraged, so feel free to share your LinkedIn or social media handles when we meet.
You can also find ongoing community Python and AI projects on the Charming Data platform.
