By ingesting these large-scale data in statistical models, we can construct robust risk scores that quantify individual predisposition to complex diseases. These scores, called Polygenic Scores, enable the stratification of individuals into genetically informed clusters for precision medicine, allowing us to tailor treatment based on their genetic profile. Moreover, researchers can use Polygenic Scores to facilitate the discovery of novel therapeutic targets by linking variant associations to functional pathways. Ultimately, this novel data-driven approach transforms genetic research into actionable insights, tailoring treatments and accelerating precision-medicine initiatives.
