In this demo session, attendees will see how to automate the deployment of SQL Server virtual machines (VMs) using PowerShell on Azure. I explain various PowerShell cmdlets for creating and configuring VMs efficiently and to adapt it for your own setup. Additionally, I will showcase how to use dbatools, a powerful PowerShell module for SQL Server automation, to restore databases with ease. By the end of the session, participants will know a DevOps approach for deploying SQL Server VMs and restoring databases for this. This session is ideal for database administrators working with Azure VMs with PowerShell.
