Hi PyLadies Berlin!
We’re excited to invite you to our next PyLadies Berlin meetup, hosted by Babbel at their office in Berlin!
🦸🏻♀️ 🦹 Non Coding Super Powers is our beloved quick series about everything else, but code, that we need to be nurtured and grown.
🎤 Non-Coding Superpower - (to be defined)
📚 Get ready for a practical session this month, as we will have the Maths and Coding – Linear Algebra Session
We’ll dive into the fundamental concepts of linear algebra that are essential in areas like machine learning, data science, and numerical computing. Whether you're a beginner or looking to brush up your skills, this session will be practical and accessible. 🥳
✨ The session will be facilitated by Jessica González, a mathematician and data analyst with a strong background in education and applied mathematics. She is currently working as a Data Analyst at Radius Fuel Cards, where she builds dashboards, analyzes fuel consumption data, and improves pricing estimators. Jessica holds a Master’s in Mathematics from Freie Universität Berlin and previously worked as an IB Mathematics Instructor and University Assistant, teaching advanced math subjects like linear algebra, differential equations, and calculus.
✨ Babbel, our wonderful host, is driven by a mission to create real human connections through language. As the world’s most sold language learning platform, Babbel empowers millions to communicate confidently, offering expertly designed lessons across 14 languages. *** 📆 Agenda 18h45 Doors open 19h00 Community Announcements 19h15 Welcome from our sponsor 19h20 Non-Coding Super Power talk 19h25 Start the Maths and Coding – Linear Algebra Session 20:15 Short break 20h20 Keep Maths and Coding – Linear Algebra Session 20h50 Networking 21h30 See You Next Time! :D *** ❓ Can men attend ❓ Everyone is welcome. :) If you identify as someone well-represented in open source and in tech, please be mindful of the space and privileges you have, and use it to support others.
