Description: Welcome to the AI meetup in New York City, in collaboration with Vespa. Join us for deep dive tech talks on AI, GenAI, LLMs and machine learning, food/drink, networking with speakers and fellow developers.

Agenda: * 5:30pm\~6:00pm: Checkin, Food and networking * 6:00pm\~6:10pm: Welcome/community update * 6:10pm\~8:00pm: Tech talks * 8:00pm: Q&A, Open discussion

Tech Talk: Building a Visual RAG application with Vespa in Python Speaker: Thomas H. Thoresen (Vespa ai) Abstract: Thomas will go through the process of building an end-to-end Visual RAG application over PDFs in Vespa, using Python only. The accompanying code is open source, and participants will get valuable insights and tips for building their own Visual RAG applications, and how to make RAG applications scalable and fast. He will also touch on some recent promising directions in document search and retrieval.

Tech Talk: Unlocking AI Potential with the Generative Feedback Loop Speaker: Josh Goldstein (Weaviate) Abstract: Vanilla Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) is becoming more and more adopted - but What is next? Join us for an introduction to Generative Feedback Loops (GFL). GFLs can level-up your RAG architecture by generating more insights on top of your data. This empowers you to implement smarter chatbots, agents, and other AI-driven solutions. Based on hands-on examples, we will explore the following questions: a) What are GFLs are? b) How do GFLs work? c) What challenges and use-cases can we tackle with GFLs; and d) How can I define my AI workflows to implement GFLs. Learn about the next level of AI applications and join us for a Live Demo.
