A force multiplier in cybersecurity, Dale Hoak is a game-changing executive and leader who blends strategic planning, a strong techincal prowess, and an unrelenting commitment to innovation as a means to safeguard global enterprises. His career trajectory spans the U.S. Navy, law enforcement, and corporate cybersecurity where he has built and led world-class security programs, optimized cyber resilience, and fortified organizations against ever-evolving threats. A trusted advisor to both executives and boards alike, Dale is a cybersecurity strategist who ensures security functions accelerate, rather than impede, business growth. He sees opportunities where others do not and thinks multiple steps ahead while building security programs that align risk management, compliance, and digital transformation objectives. As Senior Director and Chief Information Security Officer at RegScale, Dale was recruited as the first security hire to architect an information security framework and the organization prepared for a growth phase. Quickly adding value, Dale led the attainment of critical security certifications, including SOC 2 Type 1 & 2, FedRAMP High, and CSA STAR which was successful in reinforcing the enterprise in highly regulated industries. Furthermore, he implemented AI-driven security automation to elevate compliance capabilities, generating $450K in additional revenue. Before RegScale, Dale led as a Security Operations Manager inside the NYPD where he secured critical law enforcement systems. He established the first fully operational Security Operations Center (SOC), modernized incident response with advanced threat intelligence, and automated security workflows, significantly reducing response times and strengthening cyber defenses. Prior, Dale led a global cybersecurity transformation for Ferguson Enterprises as a Cyber Security Engineering Consultant with CyberProof. He managed incident response for 37 major security events, and fortified cybersecurity frameworks for 45K+ endpoints across multiple regions. As Information Systems Security Officer at General Dynamics Information Technology, Dale built a cybersecurity compliance framework for new applications in an evolving environment and implemented a Risk Management Framework (RMF) to certify and accredit 7 coalition networks, ensuring full NIST 800-series compliance. A U.S. Navy veteran, Dale served as IT Security Operations Manager for the Department of Defense where he directed mission-critical cybersecurity for the Eastern Seaboard’s largest Network Operations Center (NOC). During his tenure, he executed multiple high-stakes audits while ensuring total compliance with DoD, NIST, and ISO standards. He also led at the forefront of disaster recovery exercises with flawless execution. His leadership in battlefield communication security enhanced real-time intelligence for deployed forces, further demonstrating his ability to safeguard mission-critical operations.
