Dan Holland is the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer at Tampa General Hospital, where he leads cybersecurity governance, risk management, and data protection for one of the nation’s most advanced academic health systems. He established TGH’s Cybersecurity Governance Council and introduced FAIR-based risk quantification, enabling executives and operational leaders to prioritize cybersecurity investments and make clear risk treatment decisions. Dan also launched the Data Protection Program, which has labeled millions of files, eliminated thousands of overexposed permissions, and retired over 12 million unused records to reduce risk and strengthen regulatory compliance.
Dan serves on the AI Core Team, Data Governance Council, Practice Connect Oversight Committee, Corporate Compliance Committee, and the Architecture Review Board, helping align security, data strategy, and innovation across the enterprise. A small business owner and former U.S. Coast Guard Officer, he brings a mission-driven, results-focused approach to advancing cybersecurity resilience in healthcare.
