Kara McWilliams serves as the Vice President of Product Innovation and Development at ETS, where she spearheads the conception, co-design, development, and market introduction of cutting-edge assessment and learning solutions driven by AI and informed by learning science. In addition to her leadership in product innovation, Kara plays a pivotal role in pioneering AI technologies with the organization. In 2020 Kara established the AI Labs at ETS, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at harnessing the collective expertise of machine learning and natural language processing, synergizing with ETS’s distinguished legacy of research, to pioneer novel capabilities. These innovations enhance operational efficiencies and drive differentiation of new products and services. Previously, Kara held the position of Vice President of Learning Science and Insights at Macmillan Learning. Kara earned a Ph.D. in educational research, measurement, and evaluation, as well as an MAT – both from Boston College. She also holds a BA from the College of the Holy Cross.

As Generative AI becomes increasingly relevant in our everyday lives, many businesses are trying to figure out how this technology can be used to leverage their data.
