Chief Data & Analytics Officer - Legal & General

Claire Thompson has twice been recognised by DataIQ as one of the 100 most influential people in data and analytics in the UK and selected for Women in Data UK’s “Twenty in Data & Technology”, as an inspiring role model to others within the industry and future generations. With a degree in applied statistics and over 25 years’ experience within financial services and data analytics, she has a wealth of experience at a senior and strategic level, whilst thriving on using data to analyse and solve complex, multi-faceted problems. As the Chief Data & Analytics Officer for Legal & General (L&G), she is accountable for putting data at the heart of helping them create a better future for customers and the society we live in. This involves for leading a multi-disciplinary team and working collaboratively with multiple business areas to identify, develop and deliver innovative data solutions that drive tangible value.

Prior to joining L&G, Claire has also worked at NatWest, Barclays and Bradford & Bingley.
