Title & Speakers Event

Dear Community,

We’re back with another exciting session—this time embracing the vibe of the AWS GenAI Loft! After an intense day of learning, let’s wind down and continue the discussions in a cozy, friendly community atmosphere.

Join us at Mitosis LAB, the very same venue as the AWS GenAI Loft, for an evening of insightful community talks, networking, and knowledge sharing. Whether you’re deep into the technical topics, or just eager to connect with fellow AWS enthusiasts, this is the perfect opportunity to learn, exchange ideas, and enjoy great company.

📢 Those who registered at GenAI Loft page can participate all-day sessions, including this (AWS UG Berlin February) session. If you register yourself here at Meetup.com, you can only attend this (AWS UG Berlin February) session.

For further information, check out the details below, and we look forward to having all of you with us!

===================================================

18:00 - Warming up and networking chat 18:15 - Intro by AWS UG Berlin 18:30 - 19:15 - Sikandra Chaudhary // A peek into Amazon Aurora DSQL

Amazon Aurora DSQL is a new Serverless, PostgreSQL-compatible distributed SQL database that offers automatic scaling and infrastructure management with no maintenance downtime. It provides active-active high availability with up to 99.999% uptime, making it ideal for microservices and event-driven architectures.

19:15 - 19:40 - Network break with snacks & drinks

19:40 - 20:25 - Heiko Rothe // EKS-cellent Orchestration: Managing Infrastructure with AWS Step Functions

Managing complex infrastructure like hundreds of EKS clusters with numerous installed tools can be challenging. With various failure scenarios, migrations and external integrations, reliable automation becomes a must.

We'll share how Delivery Hero's Platform team tackled this by building a serverless application using AWS Step Functions. We’ll show how this allows us to spin up hundreds of fully provisioned Kubernetes environments on demand, improving operational efficiency and scalability. By the end, you'll understand why AWS Step Functions is surprisingly effective for this and when this approach is right for your projects.

20:25 - 20:45 - Closing Announcements & Networking

===================================================

Very Important: There is no "waitlist" for our regular sessions. However, there are limited seats available. If you want to make sure you can attend:
