Babelfish for Aurora PostgreSQL introduces the ability to seamlessly run Microsoft SQL Server applications on Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL, requiring minimal to no modifications in code. In this session, we will explore compatibility assessment and the migration process utilizing Database Migration Service (DMS).

Speaker: Anusha is a Database Administrator at AllCloud, with expertise in database migration and more than seven years of experience in relational Databases with applications ranging from Campaign management, CMS, B2B applications. Currently, she focuses on supporting customers to modernize and migrate their databases to AWS, mainly focusing on relational databases.

This talk aims to provide a broad overview of the inner workings of AWS Lambda, one of the most popular serverless computing services. We will cover how it achieves effortless scalability and resilience. Together, we will discuss a real-life example: How AWS Lambda can play a critical role in enhancing the safety of firefighters when integrated with IoT devices.

Speaker: Sara is a passionate Software Engineer with two years of experience in backend development. She is working with Safety io, a subsidiary of MSA The Safety Company, a cloud platform team, to reduce workplace injuries (focusing on industrial and fire services) via their cloud-based/IOT applications, which use various AWS services.
