Join us in building Python data apps and visualizations, based on the NYC dataset of the month. We'll work in small collaborative groups to build creative and rich apps to find data insights and learn more about the city we love.

Plotly Community Manager, Adam Schroeder, will also introduce Plotly's newest product, Plotly Studio: an AI-native desktop application that automatically generates professional data apps and visualizations in minutes, using nothing but your dataset.

Don't worry if you're new to Python or Plotly. Adam will provide a brief introduction at the beginning of the session.

Note: please bring your own laptops with batteries loaded. We'll bring the food and soda. Also, we encourage you to join Plotly's Discord server where we discuss the projects we tackle at these events.

Our in-person meetup will start with a presentation by Adam Schroeder on a NYC buildings dataset and how to use Plotly and Dash (Python) to gain insights about that data. The second presentation will be given by Shafik Quoraishee on video captioning in Python, using vision models.

Then, we'll go into our networking session, giving you the opportunity to meet others, discuss projects and learn from their AI and career experience.
