Build with AI: Unlocking the Power of Multimodal Intelligence
2025-05-22 · 16:30
Join us for an evening of cutting-edge AI innovation hosted by GDG Berlin at IAV. This Build with AI special event explores how multimodal intelligence—the fusion of video, language, and sensor data—is transforming industries, with a spotlight on the automotive sector and video understanding. In Talk 1, Dr. Christoph Raab discover the automotive industry in Germany is undergoing transformative changes marked by electrification, software-defined vehicles, and AI. Among these, AI plays a pivotal role—not only in features like self-driving cars and intelligent infotainment but also in transforming how vehicles are engineered. AI can significantly optimize and accelerate the design process, particularly within the V-model, a key framework for developing and validating automotive systems. By leveraging AI, efficiency gains of quite over 50% can be achieved in requirements engineering, testing, and software development. This talk will explore how AI enhances the V-model, showcasing real-world use cases, IAV's cutting-edge solutions, and hands-on demonstrations. Expect practical insights, interactive demos, and a roadmap to integrating AI into the automotive industry. In Talk 2, Hrishikesh Yadav, dives deep into the world of video understanding and explore how models like Marengo craft meaningful video embeddings, enabling applications such as video-to-text generation, scene analysis, and AI agents. ive into the fast-evolving field of video understanding and discover how multimodal AI models—like vision transformers and Marengo—are shaping the future of intelligent systems. This session covers real-world use cases, how to generate meaningful video embeddings, and the journey from video to text using models like Pegasus. Includes a live demo and open-source resources to start building your own applications. No prior experience needed! In talk 3, Nidaa Fatimah Mungloo will take us through the practical side of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) — breaking it down and showing how this powerful architecture is used in real-world applications today. 10 years of Berlin Ethereum Meetups - Anniversary Edition
2024-08-26 · 17:00
The first Berlin Ethereum meetup of this meetup group took place on August 19th, 2014, as an "Ethereum Development Workshop" (see the event here) There was an even earlier one, on July 4th, 2014, that was not listed in this meetup group yet. Anyway, it’s safe to say the Berlin Ethereum meetup has been running for 10 years now! We want to celebrate this little moment of Ethereum history by hosting a special meetup edition, inviting significant people from Ethereum's past and present to reflect on the last 10 years and walk down memory lane with us. Join us at c-base space station for a nice time and talks highlighting personal stories, discussing Ethereum's history, key moments, learnings, insights, and future visions. We’re excited to have some of the best people in the Berlin Ethereum ecosystem on stage for this special evening:
Looking forward to welcoming many new and old faces for this special occasion! Co-hosted by the Department of Decentralization --- Apply to speak at our future meetups: https://forms.gle/5y9Y5ywZC7pSEqpV9 --- To find out more about how Ethereum works, consult the whitepapers, or go to the website ethereum.org |

Unfortunately we had to cancel this meetup as Christoph is sick. We will work on finding a new date for having Christoph in Berlin. TOGAF & Co - Microsoft Purviews Metamodel in Context Data governance defines how data is handled. It defines it in such a way that its value is optimized and risks are avoided. Data governance is thus intended to ensure that data is treated as a normal economic asset. "Data as Assets" is the corresponding slogan; The technical context is joined by that of the company as a whole. Microsoft Purview therefore claims to offer "unified data governance". Until the introduction of the meta model, however, the managed (meta) data was of a purely technical nature. Now the connection to enterprise architecture, data strategy, the corresponding applications and process models opens up. The opportunities offered by this extended perspective will be the subject of this session. |
