2:15pm — Introduction to Synamedia Senza – Using the Cloud and a thin client to reach new audiences and go beyond the traditional Connected TV experience Tom Burnley - Head of Architecture, Synamedia Senza Simon James - Sr Director, Product Marketing

Synamedia Senza was recently announced at IBC in September. Senza combines a Cloud-hosted streaming platform with low latency streaming technologies and a thin client device to unlock new business models, new operational models, and new user experiences. In this talk, Synamedia will provide an overview of the Senza product, how it works, how existing Connected TV applications can be easily integrated, and the benefits this new approach can unlock for Connected TV Product Owners and Developers.

This presentation will provide a comprehensive overview of the Consumer Technology Association’s WAVE (Streaming Media Test Suite – Devices), focusing on how to utilize this testing tool to validate devices effectively. We will explain the various WAVE deliverables, including specifications, test suites, and associated testing tools. Attendees will gain valuable insights into how these tools can be used to assist manufacturers, content providers, and developers in validating device compliance with WAVE standards, thereby ensuring seamless user experiences across platforms.

Key areas of focus will include:

  • An overview of the CTA WAVE deliverables, including core specifications and testing methodologies.
  • A detailed explanation of the “WAVE Streaming Media Test Suite – Devices” and its main components.
  • A demonstration of how to use the test tools to validate device performance.
  • An update on the adoption of WAVE and the conformance of the tests.

3:35pm — Revolutionising TV Apps: FX Digital and the launch of Dyn Matthew Duhig, Managing Director of FX Digital

FX Digital will present their approach to delivering Connected TV applications through the successful launch of Dyn Media, a leading German sports broadcaster, on multiple CTV platforms. This talk will highlight key innovations in design, development, and testing, using the Dyn Media project as a case study to showcase how FX Digital optimises the CTV experience across diverse devices.
