• Ruby Europe, NYC.rb and NYC on Rails are joining forces to bring you a night of transatlantic networking and knowledge sharing.

Speakers

• Mariusz Kozieł: Ruby Europe: Creating a Ruby ecosystem Discover how Ruby Europe is revolutionizing developer communities and learn how to apply these strategies globally.
• Ben Burket: Secure Rails Development with Local HTTPS Building secure web applications is hard. Rails has a bunch of built-in security features, but some security risks are outside of Rail's purview. HTTPS encryption is a big one. We often skip HTTPS in development and only run it in production. But this can lead to problems with per-customer hostnames, secure cookies, and mixed-content issues. The talk will include an overview of these problems, how (local) HTTPS works, and how it helps with secure development.
• Sergey Sergyenko: How to integrate on premise LLM model with Ruby application Using a local LLM and introduction to rSpec-llama - our own home-made open source tool

Short Speaker Bios

• Mariusz Kozieł is the founder of Ruby Europe, PLRUG Warsaw Ruby Meetups and Ruby Warsaw Community Conference. He's a software engineer who became a team lead, engineering manager, CTO and CEO at the end 🙂
• Ben Burket is the CTO of Anchor, a security product that helps companies deploy internal TLS encryption. Ben has been a Ruby developer since 2006 and has worked at various bay area startups including Heroku, GitHub, and Engine Yard.
• Sergey Sergyenko is CEO at Cybergizer and host of Baltic Ruby
