Tech Talk: Building RAG applications using local models Speaker: Saurav Maheshkar (Google Developer Expert) Abstract: In this session, I will discuss the process of making performant RAG applications using LlamaIndex and local models. I will walk through an example use-case: scraping data from the internet, creating a local embedding and LLM model, generating a vector index, and running queries. I will also talk about LLMOps best practices and create a quick UI for the application using Gradio and Hugging Face Spaces.

Tech Talk: Implementing GenAI at Scale at a Bank Speaker: Payal Jain (Citi) Abstract: In this session, I will discuss the learnings and experiences we've gained from engineering the GenAI machinery for a bank the scale of Citi. Applied GenAI in regulated industries is a relatively hard problem to solve for with security at its very core. I will talk about some of the controls that the industry can benefit from.

Tech Talk: Practical Code Generation with LLM Speaker: Mykola Boiko (Auditorium) Abstract: In this session, I will discuss the current state of code generation using Large Language Models (LLMs), highlighting their strengths and limitations. We will explore methods for verifying generated code, identify engineering areas where code generation is currently applicable, and where it falls short. The session includes a live demo with real-world examples.
