Titre : Injection de dépendances : l’approche ts-glue

Description : Avec une base de code fonctionnelle, à priori, il n’y a pas besoin de libs ou de frameworks pour faire de l’injection de dépendances, l’application partielle de fonctions suffit.

Seulement voilà, avec une base de code qui grossit, des composants legacy et des libs qui prennent de l’age (mais non Express on t’aime), ce n’est pas très facile de garder une application bien structurée et testable. Lors de cette session, nous aimerions vous présenter les approches que nous avons testées dans notre équipe et qui nous ont amené à open-sourcer ts-glue, une librairie qui permet de faciliter l’injection de dépendances en profitant à fond de TypeScript

Description : Achieving high-performance reactivity in React without compromising the developer experience has always been a key challenge.

When building real-time applications designed to display hundreds of millions of rows without noticeable lag, fine-grained reactivity is essential. But when I started my journey at Pigment, neither Recoil, Jotai, nor Zustand were mature enough, and React Compiler was not yet a thing.

Let's explore together how we managed to ingest, display, and update huge datasets seamlessly without sacrificing the developer or the user experience.

To manage your Algolia implementation, you have access to Algolia's Dashboard that has been existing for years. In 2023 a new UI has been introduced specifically targeting less-technical users (merchandisers): Algolia Merchandising Studio. Building a new UI comes both with challenges & opportunities. In this talk I will present how starting this new UI from scratch allowed us to build type-safe routing & navigation using some recursive Typescript along the way. Our use-case is based on top of react-router-dom, but should be applicable to other solutions.

Description : Typescript s’est imposé sur de nombreux projets web comme indispensable pour éviter les bugs avant même de déployer son code. Mais j’ai été plusieurs fois surpris par de légères différences de fonctionnement de Typescript d’une codebase à une autre. Par exemple, une équipe rencontrait régulièrement la redoutée “TypeError: Cannot read property of undefined” alors que Typescript les détectait correctement sur un autre projet. La source de ces différences ? Le tsconfig.json, fichier de configuration parfois oublié qui abrite plusieurs paramètres clés pouvant rendre vos types plus précis et vous éviter encore plus de bugs. Dans de ce talk, on verra par des exemples concrets comment des options telles que noUncheckedIndexAccess ou useUnknownInCatchVariables permettent de détecter des erreurs de typage supplémentaires. On verra aussi quelques techniques pour adapter une codebase déjà existante à ces nouvelles règles.

Description : Sur ma dernière mission, j'ai mené plusieurs chantiers de modernisation d'une stack front et back existante : mises à jour des versions de librairies (mongoose/mongodb, react query, webpack -> vite etc.) et continuer la conversion d'une code base JS/TS non strict vers TypeScript strict.

Ce talk est donc un REX sur la gestion du changement technique d'un projet et fournis des pistes de pour réaliser les mises à jour des librairies tierces et migrer son code de JavaScript vers TypeScript sans accroc.
