Titre : Fine-Grained Reactivity without any compiler

Description : Achieving high-performance reactivity in React without compromising the developer experience has always been a key challenge.

When building real-time applications designed to display hundreds of millions of rows without noticeable lag, fine-grained reactivity is essential. But when I started my journey at Pigment, neither Recoil, Jotai, nor Zustand were mature enough, and React Compiler was not yet a thing.

Let's explore together how we managed to ingest, display, and update huge datasets seamlessly without sacrificing the developer or the user experience.

Titre : Type-safe routing & navigation

Description : Algolia offers a hosted AI Search solution for your data.

To manage your Algolia implementation, you have access to Algolia's Dashboard that has been existing for years. In 2023 a new UI has been introduced specifically targeting less-technical users (merchandisers): Algolia Merchandising Studio. Building a new UI comes both with challenges & opportunities. In this talk I will present how starting this new UI from scratch allowed us to build type-safe routing & navigation using some recursive Typescript along the way. Our use-case is based on top of react-router-dom, but should be applicable to other solutions.

Titre : Tout ce que vous devriez savoir sur Unicode, UTF-8 et autres Auteur : Nicolas Dubien (@ndubien - Pigment) Durée : 20 minutes

Description : La string est l'une des primitives principales en informatique, et ce quelque soit le langage. Pourtant, derrière son semblant de simplicité, se cache une énorme complexité inhérente aux spécifications Unicode. Ce talk a pour objectif de vous présenter ce que sont Unicode, UTF-8.. Afin que vous soyez prêt pour l'internationalisation de vos Apps.

Titre : Edge Functions et Bases de Données : Un Cheminement vers l'Intégration avec un driver Postgres Auteur : Raouf Chebri (@raoufdevrel - Neon) Durée : 20 minutes

Description : Les Edge Functions permettent d'offrir aux utilisateurs une expérience web plus fluide. Cependant, leur utilisation est limitée, notamment en ce qui concerne la connexion aux bases de données, car elles ne supportent pas de connexion TCP et ne fournissent pas une API entièrement compatible avec Node.js. Dans cette présentation, je vous parlerai de notre parcours pour mettre en œuvre un driver compatible avec Edge, et de comment l'intégrer avec des ORMs et TypeScript.

Titre : Coder un escape game avec Typescript et WorkAdventure

Description : C'est l'été, pourquoi ne pas se détendre un peu en codant un un jeu?

Dans cette présentation, je vous propose de détourner le fonctionnement de WorkAdventure (une plateforme de remote-work) pour coder un escape-game en Typescript. Nous verrons le fonctionnement de l'architecture de scripting Typescript et coderons (en live!) un donjon dans lequel il faut être 3 joueurs qui coopèrent pour avoir la moindre chance de s'enfuir!
