TALKS: [Talk 1] "Building an agent network on your own device (like Jetson Nano)" by Shu Zhao Shu Zhao has been working on something to reduce her screen time - a personal "moon" that takes notes and handles messages for her, routing processed information directly to Notion or GitHub. Think of it as a personal AI-powered assistant running entirely on edge hardware. In the talk, she will demonstrate this tool and share the challenges she's faced in building a tool based on a small language model.
The Tech Stack ๐ค - RedPanda for reliable message streaming and storage - Ollama running Llama 3.1 8B for local reasoning - Jetson Nano as the compact powerhouse driving it all
She has an MSc. in Artificial Intelligence, and part of her thesis was published in ECCV 2022 about artistic pose analysis based on computer vision. She also participated in AI Song Contest 2021 by producing one song by training an RNN-based language model. Before she worked for Xebia data, Shu worked in various roles from large banks to smaller fintechs to e-commerce where she accumulated a wide span of technical skills to come to a sustainable solution.
