Dr. Dara Sosulski is a Managing Director and Head of Artificial Intelligence and Model Management at HSBC. She received her PhD from Columbia University in Neurobiology and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at University College London within their Neural Computation Group before joining the bank. Over the course of a ten-year career at HSBC, she has led AI, analytics, and risk management teams across a variety of areas including Financial Crime Threat Mitigation and Markets and Securities Services. Dr. Sosulski specialises in building global teams that deliver novel AI and analytical applications for trading, sales, and operations. In 2024 she was named Risk Professional of the Year by WatersTechnology at the Women in Technology and Data Awards, was a recipient of the prestigious Newton International Research Fellowship from the British Academy and the Royal Society, and received the Titus M. Coan Prize for Excellence in Research from Columbia University in 2011.
