I am an experienced Chief Technology Officer, currently building out the capabilities of Calybre. This role is the alignment of technology to the company’s strategy, which involves thought leadership, leading technical leaders, innovation and R&D, skills recruitment and alignment, as well as product development. My core purpose is to help our teams succeed in bringing and implementing for our customers, relevant, innovative solutions. My passion for technology and solving business challenges started while I was a mining engineer. Over time this has matured into developing solutions, leading teams, architecting solutions, running a business unit and evangelising technology. Both my BSc Engineering Degree and MBA help me bring the relevance and capability of technology to bear in aligning to business need. I joined iSPartners\ Karabina in its formative years, and the capabilities I learned as an engineer with roles that required team management and problem-solving have been invaluable skills when applied to Technology Solutions. I have and still enjoy speaking at technology events, especially in association with Microsoft as well as more generally. My passion is teaching and training people in JuJitsu, and I have my Protea Colours in JuJitsu and was the Coach of the SA Jujitsu team in 2007.
