Preety Kumar is the CEO and founder of Deque Systems. She invented the category of automated digital accessibility testing over two decades ago. Today, Deque is a recognized market leader in the field of digital accessibility with a breadth and depth of innovative products serving enterprise and government clients such as the Veterans Affairs, the Department of Education, Humana, Intuit, HSBC, Target, and others. She collaborated with the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative and is a nominated member of the Accessibility Forum's Strategic Management Council: a GSA-sponsored group with representatives from the IT industry, academia, Government Agencies, and disabled user groups that fosters information accessibility through mutual cooperation. Preety was previously a developer, test manager, and engineering manager for companies like Verizon, and she holds a Master's in Computer Science from George Washington University. She has served on boards like Disability:IN and Yes I Can.
