Charles Lamanna is the President of the Business & Industry Copilot team at Microsoft, where he drives product innovation in AI-powered business applications, low-code platforms, and autonomous agents. He oversees the design, product development, and engineering of some of Microsoft’s most transformative technologies, including Power Platform, Dynamics 365, and Copilot Studio. These products span business applications for Microsoft Copilot, low-code/no-code tools, industry cloud solutions, conversational AI, RPA, CRM, and ERP applications.
Under his leadership, Microsoft Power Apps has become a market leader in low-code/no-code development, empowering over 25 million monthly users to build intelligent applications. Dynamics 365 has also grown into one of the largest public cloud-hosted SaaS solutions globally, setting new standards in CRM and ERP. Today, Microsoft’s business applications serve more than 400,000 organizations worldwide.
Charles also led pivotal work in advancing Microsoft Copilot, transforming AI from concept into real-world tools that enable millions to work more efficiently. This includes the launch of Copilot Studio, which allows users to create custom AI agents tailored to specific business needs, as well as Copilot applications across Dynamics 365 designed for every line of business.
Prior to that, Charles played a key role in developing Microsoft Azure’s infrastructure, leading engineering teams behind key services that helped establish Azure as a leading cloud platform. Before joining Microsoft, he was the founder and CEO of MetricsHub, one of the first public cloud management solutions, which Microsoft acquired in 2013.
Charles holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Notre Dame. He is also a member of Danaher Board of Directors.
