Massimiliano Berimballi is an AI Interaction Designer at the University of Auckland, focusing on conversational AI solutions for students and staff. Since 2019, he has been involved in developing user-centric conversational AI solutions, from traditional NLP-based assistants through to generative AI. Massimiliano led the development of the University’s new generative assistant serving over 50,000 users and is now exploring additional applications of generative AI to enhance institutional services. He is committed to creating AI tools that are practical, scalable, and aligned with user needs.
