On the day following the PyData Paris conference, open-source contributors and maintainers will gather at Carrefour Numérique to contribute to the open-source data science stack.

Note: Sprints are open to everyone, not just attendees of the conference. PyData Paris will be the main gathering of the open-source data-science and AI/ML community.

We will welcome participants starting at 9:30 AM at the Carrefour Numérique, located at 30 Av. Corentin Cariou, 75019 Paris.

We have an expert guest for this event. After the presentation, we'll brainstorm topics related to MVR (Minimum Viable Robots). We're mainly focused on personal humanoid robots such as the Tesla Optimus.

Affiliation : Corentin Loubet, designer et doctorant au sein du groupe de recherche Reflective Interaction (Ensadlab - PSL)

Biographie : Diplômé d’un master en design objet et espace obtenu en 2020 à l’ESAD de Reims, Corentin s’intéresse tout d’abord à l’affection envers les objets, et plus précisément à la manière dont des objets dits «intelligents» stimulent des réactions émotionnelles particulières chez un·e utilisateur·ice. Peu à peu, il concentre son intérêt vers la notion de curiosité comme possible traduction du processus de collecte de données réalisé par les objets «intelligents». Partant du constat que ce fonctionnement caché et parfois intrusif entraîne une défiance ambiante à l’égard de ces dispositifs, il propose de s’interroger sur la façon dont le design d’objets à (mauvais) comportements pourrait révéler ce processus. En 2022, il obtient une bourse doctorale SACRe qui lui permet de poursuivre cette recherche dans le cadre d’une thèse à EnsadLab au sein du groupe Réflective Interaction. Dans ce contexte, il collabore notamment avec la CNIL (Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés) en vue de déterminer comment cette approche plastique et expérimentale pourrait répondre, en pratique, à ce besoin d'informations. En parallèle, Corentin co-fonde en 2021 le collectif Bureau Commun au sein duquel il s’intéresse avec plusieurs créateurs, à l’impact du numérique dans la société.

Comment on a typé 100 000 lignes de code Python au pass Culture

Mypy n'est pas seulement une librairie de typage pour Python, c'est aussi de la documentation gratuite directement dans le code. Dans le cadre d'une célèbre application pour le gouvernement français (pass Culture), nous avons choisi d'utiliser Mypy pour typer nos 100 000 lignes de code en backend Je parlerai de notre plan d'action pour typer incrémentalement la base de code et de la façon dont nous avons embarqué l'équipe. Je discuterai également des défis que nous avons rencontrés, tels que les problèmes avec SQLAlchemy et les enseignements que nous en avons tirés. Enfin, je terminerai par une discussion sur l'importance de mypy et la façon dont il peut être utilisé comme documentation gratuite directement dans le code, ainsi que sa capacité à aider des outils tels que Copilot.

Dans ces conditions, comment s'affirmer sans se mettre en conflit avec son équipe ? Pour y répondre, analysons trois situations conflictuelles que j'ai vécues personnellement en entreprise, puis les clés qui nous ont aidé à en sortir la tête haute.
