However, with the increasing adoption of cloud services, the risk of vendor lock-in has become a major concern for organizations. In this talk, we will explore the similarities between cloud vendor lock-in and how that compares to the creation of database abstraction layers of the past. As usual, the answer is not simple and we will dive deeper on the topic of vendor lock-ins and how to deal with it.
