AWS UG Berlin Workshop - Generative AI
2023-10-31 · 14:00
It is our favorite time of the year and things look quite exciting for the AWS community. Yet we are thrilled and proud to announce another super-interactive, practical concept: AWS User Group Workshops 🙌🏽 We kick-start our workshop with the hot topic of the year: Generative AI When? 31st of October\, Tuesday \| 15:00 - 19:00 Where? Public Cloud Group: Friedrichstrasse 95, Berlin How? Fill out this form to register. We will shortlist applications next week and inform every applicant. Limited seats are available for the event. We hope to offer more seats in the future! Important: You need to bring your own laptop to this workshop. You will be using your own AWS account for the workshop. Be prepared to receive some minor expenses. You are responsible for clearing out your environment by the end of the workshop (although you will receive instructions how to) 🍕 Our beloved host sponsors Pizza and beverages 🥤 So you can rely on dinner provided for the length of the workshop. 😊 Title: Building Generative AI Applications on AWS Description: Generative AI is a hot topic these days. Almost everybody has played GenAI chatbots, and some already have exerimented programmatically with GenAI APIs. But building real-world GenAI-based or GenAI-enhanced applications takes more than just throwing prompts at an interface. In this workshop, participants will first learn some theory about Foundation Models (FMs), how they work and how to use them in applications. They will learn about different types/families of models as well as customisation techniques such as Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), Fine-Tuning and Prompt Engineering. In the second part of the workshop, participants will get hands-on and try out different FMs hosted on Amazon Bedrock and write own applications to interact with the models. AWS Solutions Architects will guide them through different scenarios and will be available for questions and discussions. Please note that participants need solid hands-on experience with AWS. Python and Jupyter Notebook experience is an advantage, but reading introductory material on both as a preparation is enough. A few days before the event, we will share a few steps to prepare your environment, so that we can get started quicker. 🚀 About Facilitators
