With the new Fabric IQ, Microsoft is taking a big leap forward: rather than IT specialists, it is the business users who define and describe how the business works using an ontology, via entities with properties and relationships between them. They then explain to Microsoft Fabric where the relevant data can be found, and a data agent can then be used to query all aspects of the business and analyze them. And because it knows the entire business with its rules and not just one department, it can automatically make decisions that are almost as good as those made by its human colleagues. Not quite clear? No matter, this presentation has some good examples.

So, you’ve been working with Microsoft Fabric for a while now - maybe even a few years. You know your Lakehouse from your Warehouse, your Delta from your Activator. But what else is there? This session will dive into some of the lesser known features of Fabric with the aim of bringing them into the light. We’ll cover: - Data Agent: An easy to configure chat with your data experience - Copilot in Data Pipelines: Accelerate pipeline development with AI-assisted authoring, documentation and error resolution - AI Functions: Learn how to use ai_extract, ai_classify, and ai_generate_response to bring intelligence directly into your data flows. - GraphQL API: Discover how to build modern, flexible data applications with Fabric’s GraphQL endpoint. - And more
Whether you're a seasoned Fabric user or just curious about what lies beyond the Lakehouse, this session will help you uncover the “other stuff” that makes Fabric a truly end-to-end data platform.
