At Arena we build AI systems that help technicians and electrical engineers troubleshoot real world hardware problems. One surprising source of leverage was augmented reality. Not as a demo feature but as a front line UI that actually reduces cognitive load at the moment of troubleshooting. In this talk we will share the practical lessons that came from integrating ARKit and Vision pipelines directly into our AI driven workflows. We will cover the architectural patterns that emerged inside the iOS app as we iterated quickly, and the Swift Package structures that let a tiny team ship and reuse these components at a fast pace. We will also show how with a little bit of tooling we use localization in a clever way to support white labeling and domain reuse across industries from one codebase.
