Rob Schapiro is the Senior Director of Partnerships for the Worldwide Microsoft Energy & Resources team. In this strategic role, Rob is responsible for identifying and engaging energy industry partners with the objective of accelerating the energy transition through digitalization and AI. Rob also serves as the Leader for Microsoft's involvement at Ion District in Houston. In this role, he oversees Microsoft’s engagement for the growing technology ecosystem: start-ups, venture capital, business accelerator programs, and academics. Prior to Microsoft, Rob spent 17 years at ExxonMobil, leading innovation and technical functions. He is a sought-after leader who understands the culture of innovation and who has delivered proven solutions that enhance operating models, digitalization, and sustainability.
