Adam Ames is a cybersecurity executive with more than 15 years of experience helping organizations navigate complex data protection, governance, and security transformations. As a Director in PwC’s Data, Risk, and Privacy practice, he specializes in data security and works with clients at the intersection of governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), security architecture, and cyber defense to design and implement prioritized, defensible, and adaptive controls that balance proactive risk management with effective response.
Adam has led global data governance programs; deployed Microsoft Purview labeling and protection policies to secure environments; developed enterprise-wide data disposition programs; built agentic AI solutions for data loss prevention and automated disposition; and prepared organizations for the secure adoption of AI. In his current role, he shapes national strategy and leads initiatives on AI, data governance, and protection, driving growth across a global team of more than 250 professionals.
A recognized instructor and speaker, Adam has delivered advanced cybersecurity training to more than 1,500 professionals worldwide and co-authored thought leadership with Microsoft on data-centered security models.
