Mohamed Hassan is a Product Management Leader in Azure Networking, responsible for Software Defined Networking (SDN) in Microsoft Azure. He is the owner for core networking services that enable secure, scalable, and high-performance connectivity across the cloud, including Azure Virtual Network, Azure Load Balancer, Azure Private Link, Azure NAT Gateway, Azure Virtual Network Manager, and Azure Network Security Perimeter.

With over 20 years of experience in networking, Mohamed has specialized in cloud networking and security for enterprise, cloud-native, SaaS/PaaS, and AI workloads. Before joining Microsoft, he worked as a Product Manager Lead at Amazon Web Services and Cisco, driving initiatives in cloud networking, routing, security, and SD-WAN. He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Penn State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.

At Microsoft Ignite, Mohamed will present “Architecting for Security on Azure Infrastructure,” sharing insights on building layered network security defenses and aligning architectures with evolving threats and regulatory standards for enterprise-grade security.
