Bringing over three decades of experience and dozens of patents, Randy De Meno is the VP of Business Development & Microsoft Practice at CrashPlan where he leads CrashPlan’s Microsoft Foundation partnership and Alliances. Randy’s vision is enabling CrashPlan to expand partnering efforts to enhance our customers’ data management experiences. Randy also brings decades of experience in presenting and demonstrating leading edge technology that assists customers and partners within the Microsoft ecosystem.
Prior to CrashPlan, Randy was CSO at Parablu and VP/CTO at Commvault, where he strategically delivered industry leading technology in enterprise segments while managing strategic and foundation partnerships assisting with two successful IPOs.
Randy’s had key roles during two successful IPO’s and one acquisition. At CrashPlan, Randy has been vital in enabling CrashPlan to be the BEST rated online backup solution by G2 when compared to 170 different solutions with a majority of feedback coming exclusively from customers.
Randy was vital to CrashPlan’s acquisition of Parablu and Commvault’s successful journey in growing the company from 30 people to over 2700 that included a successful IPO. In 2024 he helped guide Parablu to the unanimous consensus choice as best product for online backup as per G2 (www.g2.com) and in 2013, CRN (Computer Reseller News) tabbed Randy as a Top-100 executive and Top-25 Innovators in the computer industry, while Onalytics named Randy as Top-10 Event Speaker for Hybrid Cloud. Randy has also been directly responsible for two Microsoft Partner of the Year awards.
In 2016 Wagner College named him their “Alumni Fellow” recipient for distinguished careers. On a personal note, Randy is married with three children and initiated the Hockey Helping Kids program which has helped raise over $2M dollars for various children’s charities while enabling children to have unique experiences in NHL settings with ex-NHL players and USA Women Olympic Team members. He is a staunch advocate for families working with Autism, inclusion and diversity.
