Chao is the engineering lead for AI/BI at Databricks, focusing on helping everyone in businesses around the world benefit from the power of data + AI, regardless of their level of technical expertise. These efforts include using the best of GenAI to create amazing natural language BI experiences like Genie, as well as delightful and performant reporting, dashboarding, and analysis solutions, all backed by world-class visualizations and the entire Databricks Data Intelligence Platform. Prior to Databricks, Chao led a number of efforts at Google ranging from marketing analytics and attribution capabilities across Google Ads and Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, SMB Ads, and shopping/retail advertiser experiences.
