As Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) of Hitachi Ltd.’s Connective Industries Sector, Amee leads the development and execution of global HR strategies that support the Sector’s ambitious business growth and globalization goals. She oversees all people-related functions across the Sector’s eight distinct divisions and a global workforce of approximately 90,000 employees.
Amee joined Hitachi in July 2022, holding positions as CHRO of Hitachi Vantara, and later as CHRO of Hitachi Digital. In these roles, Amee focused on building an inclusive, supportive environment – where the company could not just attract and retain a diverse global workforce, but one where team members could learn, grow, and do their best work. Amee’s leadership spanned talent attraction and acquisition, talent development, learning and enablement, employee experience and culture, internal communications, total rewards, HR operations and technology. During her tenure, Amee increased the organization’s emphasis on manager capability and employee experience; shifted the focus from talent management to talent enablement; invested in foundational technology and operations; and transformed the way the company considered and approached employee compensation and benefits.
Prior to joining Hitachi, Amee served as Chief People Officer at Brightcove, Inc. where she was responsible for leading their global HR organization as well as building and driving a business-focused, data-driven HR strategy during a period of growth and rapid change. Before Brightcove, she was the CHRO for Global Partners LP and held leadership roles with Enel Green Power North America, Digitas and Travelex Global Business Payments. Amee holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from University of Massachusetts Amherst.
