Bill Flannery serves as Vice President of Advanced Technology at Wolters Kluwer, where he leads the AI Center of Excellence.

With over three decades of expertise, Bill has developed solutions utilizing advanced technologies such as natural language processing, machine learning, generative AI, and search—driving business transformation, enhancement, and value creation. At Wolters Kluwer, he directs a team that delivers the WK Generative AI development platform, facilitating widespread adoption of artificial intelligence across the product portfolio. This role emphasizes scalable innovation while maintaining security and industry AI best practices.

Before joining Wolters Kluwer, Bill contributed to the US Army’s digital initiatives, helping establish its first digital division, and spent twelve years advancing business information products at Factiva/Dow Jones.

Bill earned his PhD in Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University, specializing in computational fluid dynamics and the design of specialized scientific computing systems.
