2025-07-08 · 15:30
Our friends at Snowflake are hosting the upcoming event at their office in Amsterdam at the Zuidas! 17:30 – 🍕 Welcome 18:00 – 🎤 Entity-First Driven Design for Event Data Modeling Jon Su (Solutions Architect) @ Snowplow 18:30 – 🎤 Talk by Snowflake Hassan Dibani (Evangelist) @ Snowflake 18:30 – 🎤 Talk by dbt Bart van Delft (Solutions Architect) @ dbt 19:30 –🥤 Drinks & Snacks --- About the talks Talk: Entity-First Driven Design for Event Data Modeling Behavioral data is rich, granular, and highly predictive for understanding how customers make decisions. However, it can also be messy and complex, becoming increasingly fragmented over time in downstream modeling. In this talk, we’ll go back to the source of data creation and explore why an Entity-first approach to event data design & modeling can not only transform raw event data into reliable data models and improve analytics quality, but also enable future operational use cases. Jon Su is a Solutions Architect at Snowplow, collaborating closely with and guiding businesses to design and build out their best-in-class customer data infrastructure on Snowplow. With experience working with customers across retail, fintech, media, and other industries, Jon helps organizations unlock operational value from their behavioral data and turn data into outcomes. Prior to joining Snowplow, Jon worked as the EU Regional Data Analytics Lead for a boutique Google Cloud consultancy where he supported customers with Martech and Cloud technical implementations and roadmap strategies. --- Join the dbt Slack community: https://community.getdbt.com/ Join the conversation in the #local-netherlands channel in dbt Slack to connect with other data practitioners locally. A strategic approach to testing with Data Products in dbt
2025-06-24 · 16:00
Mikkel Dengsøe
– Co-Founder
@ SYNQ
With data teams' growing ambition to build business automation, AI systems, or customer-facing products, we must shift our mindset about data quality. Mechanically applied testing will not be enough; we need a more robust strategy similar to software engineering. In this talk, I outline a new approach to data testing and observability anchored in the ‘Data Products’ concept and walk through the practical implementation of a production-grade analytics system with dbt as the backbone. The learnings will apply to data practitioners using dbt whether they're just getting started or working in a large enterprise. |

For Builders, by Builders: The Latest Tools from dbt Labs
2025-06-24 · 16:00
Bart van Delft
– Solutions Architect
@ dbt Labs
In this meetup, we’ll dive into the latest tools and ideas we’ve been shipping — what they unlock, how they fit together, and why we built them the way we did. This meetup is designed for builders, thinkers, and tinkerers — folks who want to roll up their sleeves (figuratively), learn from each other, and imagine what’s next for the analytics engineering stack. Whether you’re curious about what’s new, want to see how others are approaching similar problems, or just want to ask hard questions — you’re in the right place. |
