Title & Speakers Event
Meetup @ Axxes 2026-01-28 · 16:30

2026 is here and we continue with hosting the best AWS meetups in The Netherlands, to kick off this year we are hosting a meetup together with Axxes. We have amazing talks lined up for this event, so make sure to register yourself soon.

Information

  • Paid parking is available (street or parking garage)
  • Dinner, drinks and borrel are included

Agenda 17:30 - Food 🍴 18:30 - Rob Kenis - No more long lived credentials 19:00 - Amer Grgic - Kiro, Agentic AI development environment from prototype to production 19:00 - 🚰 Break 19:15 - Yannick van Rooyen & Joeri Malmberg - AWS Platform Engineering at Europe's Largest Tendering Platform 19:45 - Drinks 🍻 & Networking

No more long lived credentials When connecting AWS and other services, we still see the issue of using long lived credentials for authentication. In this talk, we will solve the issue using AWS IAM OIDC providers and IAM outbound identity federation.

Kiro, Agentic AI development environment from prototype to production In this talk, we'll discuss Kiro - an agentic AI development environment that seamlessly takes your projects from prototype to production. It's designed to streamline the AI development lifecycle, making the transition from experimental code to production-ready systems smoother than ever. Kiro isn't just another development tool - it's your AI project's companion from concept to deployment.

AWS Platform Engineering at Europe's Largest Tendering Platform Building an AWS platform for Europe's largest tendering system means supporting a constantly growing number of workloads, teams, and architectural styles—from legacy solutions inherited through acquisitions to modern, event-driven and serverless systems. It often feels like fixing the plane while flying it. In this talk, we'll share how we built and evolved our AWS platform to reduce complexity for developers, provide a safe foundation for change, and enable all kinds of workloads to land and scale on the same platform—while keeping delivery fast.

Riya Dani – Solutions Architect @ Amazon Web Services (AWS) , Shweta Singh – Solutions Architect @ Amazon Web Services (AWS)

An introduction to AI-DLC, a transformative approach to software development that integrates AI as a central collaborator, with three core phases: Inception, Construction, and Operations.

AI-DLC: Reimagining Enterprise Software Engineering
Luis Leon – Partner Solution Architect @ dbt Labs , Venkatesh Aravamudan – Sr Partner Solutions Architect @ Amazon Web Services (AWS) , Neela Kulkarni @ Amazon Web Services (AWS)

See how AI is shaping developer tools for the next generation. AWS Kiro provides a powerful general purpose IDE great for a wide variety of programming languages and tasks. Pairing Kiro with the dbt MCP Server makes this even more powerful by providing access to dbt specific functionality, context and agents. In addition to this, interact with an external agent deployed in Amazon Bedrock AgentCore.

Matt Houghton – Data and AI Solutions Architect @ CDL Software

Learn In this session, we’ll explore how AI is reshaping the software development workflow. We’ll share a detailed look at CDL’s hands-on experience with Amazon Q Developer, including the evaluation process, lessons learned, technical insights and spec driven development with Amazon Kiro. You’ll leave the session with practical guidance for organisations considering their own adoption journey, with a focus on enablement strategies that go beyond just the tooling.

Generative AI has incredible potential, but turning that potential into real-world impact requires more than just a proof of concept. Join Matheus Guimaraes for a journey into what it takes to bring generative AI into production — from adoption and development to testing, deployment, and observability. Along the way, you’ll see how new patterns like agentic AI, open-source frameworks like Strands, and AWS services like AgentCore are reshaping the way we build with AI.

Calling all developers, hackers, and data innovators!

TiDB AgentX Hackathon 2025 is your chance to unleash what’s possible at the intersection of distributed SQL and generative AI.

This year, we want multi-step AI agents that demonstrate real-world workflows. But we also want to ensure you have the inspiration you need to quickly get hacking.

👉 Register HERE to secure your spot! 👈

In this webinar, PingCAP Developer Advocate Chris Dabatos, AWS Senior Developer Advocate Erik Hanchett, and Sheet0 Head of Engineering Yanshu Wang will show you how to build your very own sample semantic Q&A app while integrating AI-powered tooling.

You’ll learn:

  • How to build and ship a lightning-fast FAQ with TiDB's built-in vector search and AWS Bedrock using only a few Python scripts.
  • How to scaffold code, validate changes, and pull in docs as you type with Kiro, a newly-released AI IDE.
  • How Sheet0 uses AI agents to understand your data requests, autonomously navigate web sources, and deliver precise, anticipatory insights.

Whether you’re prototyping a semantic Q&A assistant or streamlining ops with AI-native tooling, this live demo webinar is about going from idea to impact with no babysitting clusters or wrangling microservices.

TiDB AgentX Hackathon: Build a GenAI App in 60 Minutes

PostgreSQL practitioners often advise developers with recommendations like "Always use EXPLAIN ANALYZE with BUFFERS" or "Run ANALYZE first". However, these suggestions are rarely accompanied by clear explanations of why they matter. Inspired by the motto "Knowledge of certain principles easily compensates for the lack of knowledge of certain facts," this talk sheds light on key PostgreSQL architectural concepts and their connection to common design and performance best practices. Through a series of increasingly complex SELECT queries, we will explore how PostgreSQL’s internal mechanisms enable safe, fast, and efficient data processing. This session is designed for application developers who want to deepen their understanding of how PostgreSQL executes queries— and how to harness its full potential without accidentally bringing it to its knees.
