Talk title: APIs in the Fastlane Description: Have you ever found an API whose documentation and SDK were out of sync? I'll look at how tools like Smithy allow us to define an API Schema, then automatically generate the documentation, SDK and server side code for you, ensure your docs, SDKs and clients always stay in sync, and then how we can use this to scaffold a serverless API using API Gateway and Lambda.

But how can you ensure you're getting the most for your money? In this talk, Ryan will look at some common practices for ensuring you correctly optimise your Lambda Functions to fit your cost and performance requirements. Ryan will look at using the AWS Lambda Powertuner to understand your lambda profile, what you should consider when tuning, and how you can build tuning into your CI processes.
