Vikas Bhatia is the Head of Product for Azure Compute Security and Confidential Computing, spearheading innovation to secure Azure’s compute platform at global scale. Vikas leads strategy and execution for Compute security, delivering advanced capabilities that harden infrastructure, virtual machines, containers, and workloads against sophisticated threats. His team ensures Azure’s Compute environment achieves uncompromising security standards, empowering organizations to run mission-critical applications with confidence. In addition, Vikas drives the evolution of Confidential Computing, enabling protection of data in use through confidential VMs, containers, and applications on secure hardware across CPUs and GPUs. He also champions confidential-by-design services within Azure for end-to-end trust. Previously, Vikas led product for cross-platform user experiences in the Windows Developer Platform and contributed to Cloud Game Streaming, Xbox One, and the Visual C++ Compiler. Vikas holds an MBA from the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business and an MS in Computer Science from the University of Alabama.
