Global Data Strategy Education: BSc Mathematics & Management I’ve always loved maths and computing so a career in data was inevitable for me. After leaving University, I worked at Direct Line as a Strategic Motor Underwriter, working on car insurance pricing for Direct Line, Churchill and Privilege. I joined D&G in 2010 as a UK Underwriter as have since worked in or with pretty much all of the data teams at the company… Analytics, Data Science, Pricing, MI, Underwriting, Finance…! I love that D&G encourages curiosity & growth and supports collaboration & inclusiveness. It is full of supportive and innovative individuals who make it a rewarding place to work. I have built a network of colleagues to create a safe space to ask stupid questions and come up with solutions together when you need help. Each step in my career has been someone I worked for suggesting a role or next step for me, with each new role representing another milestone in my progression. I am super excited about my new role in Data Strategy as I get to build a global data solution to enable D&G to be data led across all countries and teams, using my previous experience to create and implement a strategy to accelerate and iterate our plan whilst delivering value.
