DLite is a new instruction-following model developed by AI Squared by fine-tuning the smallest GPT-2 model on the Alpaca dataset. Despite having only 124 million parameters, DLite exhibits impressive ChatGPT-like interactivity and can be fine-tuned on a single T4 GPU for less than $15.00. Due to its small relative size, DLite can be run locally on a wide variety of compute environments, including laptop CPUs, and can be used without sending data to any third-party API.
