Istios sidecar-based approach means that a vast amount of metrics data gets generated, which only increases as you scale both the size and complexity of your systems. In this talk, we'll discover the issues that Istio caused our self-hosted monitoring stack and how we can solved them by re-evaluating the data that we actually wanted.
