Gerald Ertl is Managing Director and Head of Digital Banking Solutions at Commerzbank AG. He leads digitalization initiatives and the development of digital products for retail and corporate customers, supported by international delivery teams, and chairs Commerzbank’s Avatar project, which is migrating to an Agentic AI architecture. His leadership emphasizes customer orientation, trust, and agility. He holds a Diplom in Business Administration from the University of Munich and an Electrical Engineering degree from the Munich University of Applied Sciences.
