Title: Migrating Your Data to the Cloud

So an authority figure in your organization has said "we are migrating our data to the cloud!" Your head is spinning because there are so many migration targets in the cloud and so many migration tools to get your data to those targets. Where should your data go? How should it get there? Where shouldn't it go and how shouldn't it get there? The initial decisions in a data migration project can be overwhelming. Join an experienced cloud migration leader as they walk you through the proper targets and tools to use so you can hopefully avoid the trials and tribulations of a typical cloud data migration project. Goals: - Learn the right and wrong ways to migrate data to the cloud - Learn the variety of data migration targets that are available in the cloud - Discuss the best ways to execute data migrations depending on customer and business needs Prerequisites: A basic knowledge of on-premises SQL Server is preferred but not required
